Brown Fox Calligraphy is a bespoke calligraphy and design studio of Brianne Connolly based in San Francisco, California, specializing in wedding and event paper goods, greeting cards, social stationery, announcements, and art prints.
What started as a side hobby to my civil engineering job quickly turned into what drives and motivates me every day, and I switched to pursue my passion full time in 2015.
I create professional quality paper goods featuring individually done pointed pen calligraphy, various typography, and hand illustrated elements. A number of printing methods on fine papers bring to life artisanal results for you to enjoy. My work has been featured on Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake, Wedding Chicks and more.
"For our Blue Ridge mountain wedding in North Carolina, Jonathan and I were keen to partner with an artist that offered a unique, but classic and soft style. Brianne was just the perfect match for us, as she brought to life our vision for a simple, elegant design! She took the ideas we had for invitations and paper accessories, and made each of them stand out in a personal, and perfectly classic way. Throughout the process, Bri was organized, timely, and communicative. We are genuinely thankful for her care and expertise!"

"Brianne of Brown Fox Calligraphy is a dream to work with. Not only is her work STUNNING, she is also just a wonderful person. Brianne's communication throughout my wedding prep was professional, quick, and always reassuring. She takes as much or as little creative control as you want/need. Brianne listened to my vision and turned it in to an even better reality."

"Working with Brianne brought a truly wonderful experience to what could have been a frustrating endeavor. She was able to offer multiple suggestions when I had no clue how to start or what look I wanted for my invites. She was very patient with multiple changes and had great communication throughout the process. In the end, we were rewarded with a beautiful product that will now last in our memory and hearts forever, and we couldn't thank her enough. I'm glad I used Brianne for my wedding invitations and I'm already thinking about what other products of hers that I would love to get made next."

"My experience working with Brianne on my wedding invitation suite was AMAZING! She really took the time to personalize the calligraphy to match our aesthetics and her turn-around time was impeccable. It made a huge difference because everyone kept saying how original, special and beautiful the invitations were. Brianne also self-addressed all of the invitations and even went a step more by double checking the recipient addresses to ensure the invitations didn’t get lost in the mail. I was very impressed! My husband and I are now expecting our first baby and I’m sure I’ll be calling Brianne to do some more work for our baby invitations!"

"From start to finish, working with Bri is a breeze! I ordered a number of custom stamps as gifts, and the entire process was fun, beautiful, easy, and quick. Bri is unusually responsive and accommodating - better customer service does not exist, and her packaging is just the cutest. It has brought me such joy to present friends with these beautiful gifts and then gleefully direct them toward Brown Fox Calligraphy!"

"I found Bri in the summer of 2012 as my husband and I were working on the final touches of our wedding. She met with us in person to discuss what we wanted - tired and a little weary of wedding planning, we gave her full creative license, and were absolutely thrilled when we picked up the final pieces. Since then, I have purchased address stamps, had our vows written in gold ink to be framed, and decorations for my son's first birthday party and for his nursery. I have never been disappointed but more importantly, Bri's personality and professionalism is unparallel. She's not just another vendor, and you are not just another customer to her. I will use her (exhaustively) for years to come."
