Semi-CUSTOM SUITE terms & conditions

DEFINITIONS

  • Client: as identified by invoice, or order processed through the website

  • Artist: Brown Fox Calligraphy, Inc.

  • Project: Semi-custom Suites Order

Upon ordering from Brown Fox Calligraphy website, clients agree to the following terms:


FEES, TURNAROUND, CANCELLATION

100% of the fees are due when order is placed on the website. Please allow up to 5 business days from when your order is placed to receive your digital proof. Once the digital proof has been sent to client by artist, the order is processed and 50% of the project has been accomplished. If the order is cancelled after this point, only 50% of the fees (minus service fees) can be refunded. After final approval from client, the suite is sent to printing and the entire order amount is nonrefundable at this point.

Production times vary between 20-25 business days. Embellishments including calligraphy or wax seals and ribbon increase the turnaround time by 5-10 business days. If client is interested in rushing their order, an additional charge of 30% of the total project will be applied and invoiced separately, assuming artist availability.


SHIPPING

Due to variations in weight and size of projects, shipping will be calculated after project completion. The client is responsible for shipping charges, and will be asked to pay the amount by separate invoice. Once the invoice has been paid, the project will be shipped. All packages are shipped via UPS and include a tracking number that will be provided to client.

Once the project has been shipped to client, the artist is not responsible for any loss, delay, or damage to the package. The client is responsible for all shipping, custom and duties fees. For international clients, the full value of the project will be declared in accordance with the law.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Due to the handmade nature of our projects, our projects are not eligible for return, exchange or refund. If it is determined that there is an error on the artist side due to printing, the artist will pay for reprint and the shipping costs. If there is an error in wording or spelling that was approved by the client, the costs of reprinting must be covered by the client.


CHANGES & ERRORS

Each project includes 1 round of revisions, to include changing colors, wording, or lettering styles. The artist reserves the right to provide limitations to the stationery design/layout. If client wishes to make additional revisions to client’s suite, the client will be charged $75 per additional proof. Each round of revisions will take 3-5 business days. If the client requests additional design changes after the project is sent to print, the client agrees to pay the artist additional fees, to be negotiated separately, for changes requested and/or additional printing and shipping expenses. The client also agrees that additional changes to design or printing will mean time added to the original completion date. If the client requests additional quantity after project is sent to print, client agrees to pay additional shipping, printing and setup costs required for additional units, subject to the minimum quantities set by printers. If it is determined that there is an error on the artist side due to printing, the artist will pay for reprint and the shipping costs. If there is an error in wording or spelling that was approved by the client, the costs of reprinting must be covered by the client.


OWNERSHIP

Original art remains the property of the artist. Artist retains the right to reproduce, publish and display the project in artist’s portfolios, websites, in galleries, social media and any other media or exhibits, now known or devised in the future, for the purposes of recognition of creative excellence or professional advancement, and to be credited with authorship. Semi-custom designs are not available in any digital form. All files exchanged during the design process will be for review only.


PRODUCTS

Any pieces designated as “handmade” to include paper, ribbon, hand assembled wax seals, may vary due to their handmade nature. Colors for paper, envelopes, and printing may vary on different screens so we recommend contacting hello@brownfoxcalligraphy to receive photos and/or videos of requested colors before you place your order. 


OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

The client agrees to indemnify and hold the artist harmless against any and all claims, costs, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, due to materials included in the work at the request of the client for which no copyright permission or privacy release was requested, or for which uses exceed the uses allowed pursuant to a permission or release.
